Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

• Lessor: 2 Rent Curaçao, based in Curaçao.

• Lessee: The individual or company renting the vehicle.

• Vehicle: The rental car provided by 2 Rent Curaçao under this agreement.

2. Reservation and payment

• A reservation is only confirmed once a deposit or full payment has been received, as agreed in advance.

• The total rental amount and any required security deposit must be paid before or upon receiving the vehicle.

• The security deposit will be refunded within 48 hours after the vehicle is returned, provided no damages, traffic violations, or contract breaches are found.

3. Rental period

• The minimum rental period is 4 days.

• A delay in returning the vehicle by more than 1 hour will result in an additional rental day being charged.

• Extensions must be requested in advance and are subject to availability and approval by 2 Rent Curaçao.

4. Use of the vehicle

• Only the lessee and any additional drivers listed in the rental contract are allowed to operate the vehicle.

• The main driver must be at least 21 years old and have held a valid driver's license for at least 2 years.

• The vehicle may only be driven on paved roads. Off-road driving is strictly prohibited.

• Smoking is not allowed in the vehicle. A cleaning fee will be charged if this rule is violated.

5. Fuel policy

• The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank.

• If the tank is not full upon return, the cost of fuel plus a service fee will be deducted from the deposit.

6. Insurance and liability

• All vehicles are covered by third-party liability insurance (WA). Additional coverage (e.g., CDW or Full Coverage) is available at extra cost.

• The lessee is fully liable for any damages, theft, or loss resulting from negligence or violation of these terms.

• The lessee is responsible for all traffic fines, parking tickets, and other penalties incurred during the rental period.

7. Breakdown and accidents

• In the event of a breakdown or accident, the lessee must immediately contact 2.Rent.Curacao via the emergency number provided in the contract.

• A fully completed accident report form must be submitted in case of damage.

• The lessee is not allowed to carry out or authorize repairs without prior consent from 2.Rent.Curacao.

8. Cancellation policy

• Cancellations are free of charge up to 48 hours before the rental start date.

• Cancellations made within 48 hours will incur a fee of 50% of the rental cost.

• No-shows are non-refundable.

9. Vehicle return

• The vehicle must be returned in the same condition it was delivered, including all accessories (e.g., child seats, GPS devices).

• Lost or damaged accessories will be charged at replacement cost.

10. Force majeure

• 2 Rent Curacao is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond its control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, civil unrest).

11. Governing law

• All rental agreements are subject to the laws of Curaçao.

• Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Curaçao.
